Vétyver Messager is a luminous and unusually comforting interpretation of vetiver, created by renowned perfumer Nathalie Feisthauer. Rather than emphasizing the traditionally dry, smoky or intensely earthy character of the material, the composition surrounds vetiver with fruit, aromatic spices, soft sweetness and polished woods.
The opening is bright and energetic, combining bergamot and grapefruit with crisp apple, pink berries, cardamom and coriander. Lavender introduces an aromatic freshness that gives the initial fruitiness a refined, masculine structure.
The heart becomes softer and more textural through geranium, carrot and Hedione. The carrot brings a subtle earthy, almost root-like sweetness that creates a natural bridge between the fruity opening and the vetiver-centered foundation.
In the base, vetiver appears alongside oakmoss, creating the fragrance's earthy-green backbone. Benzoin, tonka bean and vanilla add a smooth balsamic sweetness, while Ambroxan, ambrette and musks give the drydown a clean, warm and contemporary finish.
