Fragrance Profile:
Inspired by the rebellious perfumers of the ancient Vardhana dynasty who flooded Kannauj with vetiver oils in defiance of an unjust tax. Grape, Black Cherry, Cinnamon and Clove open with a rich, spiced fruitiness. Incense, Cacao, Rose and Carnation build a complex, smoky-floral heart before Vetiver, Cedar, Oak, Birch and Vanilla settle into a deeply earthy, resinous base where vetiver reigns with quiet authority.

Performance:
Good longevity and moderate projection, with the vetiver and woody base carrying well throughout the day. One of the more complex and polarising entries in the Fort & Manlé range — best sampled before committing.
