The newest chapter in Byredo's Night Veils collection, created in collaboration with Harrods and built around the concept of duality — luminosity and depth in equal measure. Geranium and Peach open with a bright, gently rosy and softly fruity freshness that is immediately inviting and deceptively light. Osmanthus and Magnolia build a delicate, apricot-skin floral heart where the osmanthus bridges the fruit of the opening with the warmth below in its characteristic and entirely unique way. Labdanum, Cypriol, Suede and Oud close with a dark, resinous and quietly animalic base that arrives like a second skin — deeply textured, velvety and unmistakably luxurious. The contrast between the luminous fruit-floral heart and the smoky leather-oud base is the defining character of this composition.
Performance:
Above-average longevity with a refined, evolving projection. The labdanum-suede base carries powerfully through the day, with the osmanthus heart remaining detectable as a softening influence well into the dry-down. Performance improves substantially on fabric.
