Samar is a warm, smoky and richly textured composition inspired by the Arabic tradition of gathering together at night, sharing stories around a fire beneath a star-filled sky. The fragrance translates this atmosphere through an interplay of glowing spices, dark woods, fruit and creamy white florals.
The opening combines juicy raspberry with bergamot, clove and pink pepper. Rather than becoming overtly fruity, the raspberry provides a subtly sweet contrast to the dry, fiery spices, giving the introduction a warm and almost smoldering character.
At the heart, cinnamon intensifies the spicy warmth while jasmine, gardenia and osmanthus introduce a lush floral dimension. The white flowers soften the composition without removing its darker personality, creating an elegant transition between the bright opening and the deeper woody base.
The drydown brings oud together with patchouli and labdanum, creating an earthy, resinous and gently smoky foundation. Vanilla rounds the darker materials with controlled sweetness and warmth, leaving a rich, comforting trail reminiscent of the lingering glow of a fire after nightfall.
