The opening is bright and energetic, with orange and lemon illuminated by spicy, resinous elemi. Rather than developing into a traditional floral heart, the fragrance moves toward amber, pepper and pink pepper, with a subtle violet nuance adding softness to the composition.
The drydown reveals the true character of Eau des Merveilles. Fir, cedar and Madagascar vetiver create a dry, aromatic woody structure, while oakmoss adds earthy depth and benzoin provides a smooth balsamic warmth. The result is an elegant contrast between sparkling citrus and enveloping ambered woods.
