Fragrance Profile:
CHI is Mallo's exploration of the scent of human skin, built around a custom-developed musky skin accord that forms the heart of the composition. Created as a limited-edition collaboration with Japanese tattoo artist Gakkin, the fragrance is inspired by an ancient Samurai warrior during the tattooing process, where the warmth of skin meets the meditative atmosphere of kōdō incense. Ginger and angelica root provide a subtle aromatic freshness before elemi, frankincense, and Peru balsam introduce soft resinous warmth. Natural oud adds depth without overpowering the composition, allowing the realistic skin accord to remain the unmistakable centerpiece. The result is an intimate, warm, musky fragrance that is unlike traditional oud or incense compositions.
Performance:
Excellent longevity with moderate projection. The extrait concentration allows the skin accord to remain present from the opening through the dry down, gradually becoming warmer and more resinous while maintaining an intimate, second-skin character for many hours.
