Part of the Britologne Collection, inspired by the decadent pleasures of Covent Garden's Piazza in the 19th century — a playground for dandies and literati. Grapefruit, Petitgrain, Blackcurrant and Cardamom open with a zesty, punchy citrus-fruit freshness with immediate energy and presence. Artemisia, Myrtle, Cinnamon and Longoza build a bold, resinous and icy-aromatic heart before Patchouli, Ambroxan, Labdanum and Amber close with an earthy, carnal and deeply enveloping base.
Performance:
Strong longevity and projection for a Cologne Elixir, with the 25% concentration delivering well above expectations. The resinous patchouli and labdanum base in particular shows exceptional tenacity. A collaborative work between two legendary perfumers — Maurice Roucel and Alexandra Carlin — and it shows in the depth and construction.
